I don’t know how it is that I’ve never written about Harewood house but I’ve been a few times and it’s one of my favourites, not just for the plush interiors but for the pretty grounds and secret garden. As usual, I took way too many photos so part 1 will be just about the house and I’ll leave the gardens for part 2. Day Tripping :: Whitby in July
Whenever I don’t blog for a while, I struggle with how to get back into it. Do I apologise and explain why I’ve been away? What if I don’t have any explanation other than, I didn’t feel like it? Day Tripping :: Blenheim Palace
Well I finally made it, WE WENT TO BLENHEIM PALACE! Sorry for the caps, but honestly, it’s been five years in the making. It’s not horrrrrribly far away from us in Doncaster, just under three hours mainly on the motorway, so an easy trip. Those of you in England will know the fear of the dreaded rain cloud however, and we’ve cancelled many a day trip not wanting to pay so much to get into the Palace only for it to literally rain on our parade. A couple weekends ago, faced with a rainy day, we took our niece to The Deep, and aquarium in Hull for some indoor adventures. A Weekend Visit to Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Saturday the weather was forecasted rain but it was surprisingly sunny (although temporarily) so we took decided to go see the poppies at Yorkshire Sculpture Park since it was the last weekend they were going to be there.
