I never got around to writing more posts for last week, because, Thanksgiving! I spent most of the night Wesnesday and day Thursday preparing a feast for friends. I love our little Thanksgiving tradition every year, celebrating with wonderful friends and traditional dishes.
I’ve gotta say that this year was one of the best. For one, we actually had enough room for everyone to sit around the tables (there were 11 of us) as two tables fit in our dining room now, and all chairs as well! Also, two ovens, is incredible. Everything was warm and I didn’t have to worry so much about timings of dishes because there was plenty of cooking space. Big win. {Swans at Clumber Park}

At the weekend, we had a super exciting one of ripping wallpaper off the walls in the spare bedroom that Adam has claimed. He’s going to turn it into a music/library room, but it was the most dated room of the bunch in the house. After taking the wallpaper off, we are deciding weather it needs to be completely re-plastered, or maybe just a few patch jobs will do it. I’m thinking there are way too many cracks for a smooth paint job over it even if we do try to repair it.
Sunday we decided to get out of the house because the sun was out and it wasn’t super cold, so we went to Clumber park, our go to for walks. We went a new way around the lake this time and I have to say it’s my favourite trail. I don’t know why it took us so long to go around it. I admired everyones happy dogs while we were there, with each one passing exclaiming I wanted a puppy, and Adam saying no. One day I’ll break him down. We also went and bought some paint and more decorating stuff, getting there, slowly but surely.
Since today is December 1st, I’m hoping to get our Christmas tree! Adam has a strict No Christmas until December 1st mentality, where I’m all “Day after Thanksgiving! Let’s decorate!” I’m well and truly ready for the festive season now, bring it on Christmas.
