Saturday we went to Adam’s sister Daniella’s house to meet the new baby and see how she was doing. We made a diaper cake out of three and a bit boxes of diapers to take over too. Because when else can you make a diaper cake if not for a new baby? She’s the sweetest thing, both mom and baby are doing really great and big sister Callia is loving on her lots too.
I’ve been taking soooo many baths lately its bordering on ridiculous. I also might have to go to LUSH rehab after my last spending spree, but I can’t help it, I love a good bath bomb. The little bear pictured above is ‘Butterbear’ made with cocoa butter and a vanilla scent I love the little guy.

Sunday we headed to our first Christmas market of the season in Leeds (click here for some pics from last year because my camera is on the fritz right now). I’m not going to lie when I say we only went for the mulled wine and German food. The Alp Chalet Bavarian eatery is amazing. Since we went on Sunday it wasn’t too busy and we didn’t have a problem getting a table, but to avoid disappointment you might want to book ahead. I know the Festive Hall always seems to have a massive line to get in, so we still haven’t made it in there yet, and you can’t book ahead.
I’ve been a little distant from blogland as of late due to shopping for house things most nights, and being sick and laying on the couch all the others. Does anyone else have this cold from hell? It’s a week and a half and going now, I forgot what it’s like to breathe normally, but I’m looking forward to when I can again!
In other exciting news it’s Thanksgiving on Thursday! Since it’s not celebrated in England I have a ‘friendsgiving’ in which I make all my English friends eat pumpkin and green bean casserole. They love it. Do any other American expats celebrate Thanksgiving away from America?
