LUSH Ultrabland Facial Cleanser

February 20, 2014

In researching balm cleansers on numerous beauty blogs, there’s one that never seems to come up, is quite inexpensive and my new favourite cleanser.LUSH’s Ultrabland is I suppose a balm cream hybrid and when picking up my favourite Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask was brought to my attention by a LUSH employee. Upon bringing it to the till it was then raved about even more by the girl ringing out my new purchases saying it would probably be her desert island product, that it melts away makeup and softens her skin. I couldn’t wait to get it home and try it after all of the raves in just a short five minutes.
I’m sold. I don’t think I could live without this in my nighttime routine now. Let me tell you now though, if you think you are going to get this off your face with just water, forget about it. The best way, and the way the Lush employees actually told me to use it, is to take it off with a cotton pad soaked in toner, which is what I do. You can also take it off with a washcloth (or flannel to you Brits) with warm water.
I love the way my face feels after using this stuff. I massage it in for a couple minutes, wipe it off with toner, and have the softest most nourished skin. I use this every night, even nights where I don’t have any makeup to take off because I love using it that much. I’ve had this for about a month now and have barely made a dent in the pot as you can see, a little goes a long way. A small pot is £6.45 and the larger one £10.95 and with all their products is best used fresh, but this has a longer shelf life than some products.
Have you tried Ultrabland or any other balm type cleansers?
