1) What is your favourite Christmas Film?
A Christmas Story. How could it not be? I remember watching this every year with my family, it’s my Dad’s fave too.

Can glitter be a colour? Probably sparkly red, it’s the one time of the year that I actually like the colour red.

Christmas morning BUT we used to open one on Christmas eve, and Adam hates that I still want to do this, as he is a very strict ‘do not open until Christmas day’ kinda person.
4) What is your favourite winter fragrance?
Pine! I love having a real tree, but I must confess I was burning my Christmas tree candle before we got our tree.

Probably gingerbread, as it seems to be quintessentially Christmas.
6) What is your favourite festive drink?
Mulled wine, hands down. We made our own early for Thanksgiving in the crockpot, that stuff is seriously tasty.

Gingerbread men all day every day. I do like peppermint syrups in my coffee and hot chocolate though.
8) What is your favourite Christmas song?
Good King Wenceslas! I was just telling Adam I want this to be the next song he learns on his guitar. I’ve got fond memories of Christmas concerts in school playing Good King Wenceslas on my french horn. I love the songs you can sing along to as well, but I could listen to instrumental Christmas music all day every day.
9) Have you ever made a snowman?
Tons. It’s the thing I miss most about snow in New York, although my friend Bev and I managed to build a snowman and a snowcat last year when we got like four days of snow in England. (The top picture was probably my finest snowman example made in Oregon of all places.)

10) What is most important to you about Christmas?
Spending time with friends and family. I know it sounds cheesy, but it really is my favourite part, and it’s the one season where everyone just seems to be that much more jolly. I also love having traditions like going to christmas markets, making cookies, and wrapping presents with Christmas music playing all month long.
And there you have it! And yes that’s a picture of us on our own Christmas tree, the ornament sings a christmas song too, always a bonus.
Tonight we are off to our friends house for our second annual Friends Christmas dinner. I also can’t wait to give them their presents, I might share them later here, as couldn’t until after tonight so I didn’t ruin the surprise!
What are some of your favourite Christmas traditions? And the most pressing question…Candy canes or Gingerbread men?!
