Are you tired or Christmas photos yet, or are you like me and can’t get enough? I didn’t think we were going to make it to any Christmas markets this year, but Friday we took the day off and went with Adam’s sister and niece to Lincoln, one of the biggest Christmas markets I’ve ever been to.
Betty’s is one of those iconic English places that everyone in Yorkshire and further afield knows about. Famous for its delicious cakes, sweets and tea blends, and super pretty tea rooms. It’s one of those places that I’ve always wanted to go for afternoon tea, and last Saturday I got my wish.
So it’s been a couple months now since we visited Tattershall Castle, so I thought I’d share it in case you’d like to visit as well now that the weather is getting a little nicer. When we were looking for National Trust properties to visit (gotta get the most out of our membership) less than two hours away was a castle! A real castle with a moat? I was all in.
Ambleside is probably one of the most well known towns in the Lake District as it’s at the end of Windermere, it’s really picturesque, and filled with cute shops and cafes. It was raining the day we went around it, and as I wasn’t prepared I had to buy a rain coat first thing. Three of the five of us bought rain coats though, so I wasn’t the only one!CONTINUE READING
