Since I just got back from America I thought it might be a good time to share my trip to Washington and Oregon last year. I think I’ve mentioned before that my Mom is from Oregon, so all of her side of the family is still over that way, with my Aunt Uncle and cousins living close to Portland just over the border in Washington. My Nana was having surgery so I decided it was as good as time as any to visit my west coast family, with Adam coming along about a week later because he felt left out in England.
This past week the weather cleared up and gave us a few warm sunny days. So Dexter and I took the opportunity to play outside and snap some pictures. I seriously can not get enough of this dog.
For the past 7 or so years my parents have made the trek to Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania to attend a rodeo. I had always either been traveling or had to work but last year on my trip home it just happened to coincide with the rodeo so I could go. Needless to say I made sure that my trip home this year overlapped too!
The below picture sums up the gorgeous place I grew up in known as the Finger Lakes, New York. Our big old farmhouse is nestled between the two longest lakes, Cayuga lake and Seneca lake – being a bit closer to Cayuga and easy access to my Grandpa’s house right along it’s shores.
I made my way back to New York on Friday for a little over two weeks. Flights were fairly straightforward for once, only hour and a half delay, so a long wait in Philly, but it could have been worse. Of course I came back to snow and ice, but gorgeous warmish spring weather! New York never ceases to amaze me.
