I’ve been away from this little space for a bit because life has been in upheaval. I am not cut out for construction projects, I have been so stressed out! Organising builders, plumbers, and our amazing friend who is an electrician. I don’t like living in a building site with a thick layer of dust covering everything in the kitchen meaning cooking is out of the question. I need a break!
Celebrating Christmas seems like a lot bigger affair in England than it ever really did in America to me. Sure Christmas is a big deal, but the lead up wasn’t as exciting in America. England knows how to get you in the Christmas spirit, or make a lot of people mad for starting too early, just depends on which side of the fence you are on. Me, I’m all about Christmas cheer starting in November here!
It’s been getting colder, and we had our chimney swept so that we could start having log fires. I can’t tell you how much I love having a fire crackling in our living room. It’s so nice to have a living room that you actually love hanging out in.
