I don’t know about anyone else, but the ‘festive season’ completely and utterly wiped me out.
It’s always full of really fun happy times, but also it can be sad as an expat. I’m lucky I’ve got a great family in England to spend Christmas with and lots of great friends to do things with, but it doesn’t stop me missing my family and wishing I was doing those same fun activities with them. I was also pretty sick with several different colds for about a month, and couch bound between boxing day and New Years. What a way to spend a vacation. We did manage a couple hours out in the sunshine with a walk around Clumber park so I could make use of my new camera.
I’ve taken the plunge and bought a full frame camera as I wanted to get to grips with it before our trip to Japan the end of March. So for my little hello, I’m still here, here’s some snaps of a wintery day at Clumber a few weeks ago.
We’ve been doing a bit of exploring and chasing waterfalls near us in the Peak District, so I’ll be sharing some of the places we’ve gone in the next couple of weeks.
