I realised while writing some new blog posts that I never shared my last Budapest post, visiting the House of Houdini!
While walking around Buda Hill in Budapest we walked by the House of Houdini, and thought, oh if we’ve got time maybe we’ll see what’s there. Well it was still open on our way back down, and after being told it would take around half an hour to go through we decided to spend the 8 Euro per person to learn a bit more about Houdini and see a magic show.
Adam got picked to be in the show (he had a good chance as there were only five of us watching) and we were all suitably amazed with the card tricks. I’m a sucker for magicians, I don’t care if there’s an explanation for all the tricks, the amazement after something seems impossible is the best feeling.
I won’t give away a lot in case you want to pop by while you’re on Castle Hill in old Budapest, which if you’re even remotely into magic or Houdini, it’s worth a visit and won’t take too much time out of your day. You might even leave with a new trick or two!
