I’ve got all sorts of exciting new things to share here! I’ll just do a roundup for now, full posts coming later when I have a chance to edit photos. A couple weekends ago on Saturday I went to Manchester for an event with Jet2 to learn about some of their holiday destinations. We all got glittered up, liquored up, and told about some awesome places to go that I never would have thought to book before. After the event a few of us went to Byron for food, and I finally got the bloody mary I’d wanted to cure my hangover from the night before. It was meh, but the mac and cheese and courgette fries hit the spot. I then went home and dreamt about all the beauty places I wanted to holiday at.
Sunday was filled with going to garden centres to pick up some new plants to put on our back deck. It always looks like you’ve got loads until you put them in planters and realise you need more. It’s a start though and it was such a nice day for buying flowers! I also found an elusive Starbucks decorated cup. Instagram win.
This past weekend we had an impromptu trip to Copenhagen! A couple weeks ago we realised we had a free weekend and hadn’t been away in a while so looked for cheap flights to a sunny place. All sunny places were expensive though, so we ended up just finding where was cheap, and ended up with Copenhagen. Everyone I know who’s been has loved it, so I figured we couldn’t go wrong. I was right! It was incredible. Expensive, but worth it.
I had a really cute mail week last week, the pin I ordered from Toni’s shop, Lemon Freckles arrived and I plan on ordering all the designs she comes up with, how cute is this shell?! I also received my friend Bev’s baby shower invite, even though I knew it was coming, the invites her mom made turned out so cute!
This week I’ve been busy building this Ikea bed on a night. I ordered a daybed type bed for our spare room a couple weeks ago, and when it arrived last week I started pulling everything out of the three boxes delivered only to find that two of the boxes were exactly the same and I had no screws. Dammit. I called Ikea and after telling them several times I just wanted to replace ONE box, not all of them, they agreed to come this week with the right box. It took two nights to do since we were doing other things, and building a bed in a small space is not ideal. But it’s done! Now we just have to buy bedding for it, although that blanket will probably be a regular feature because of the cats. New bed = cat bed. New anything = cat bed.
Sorry this is a little boring, congrats if you’ve made it this far. Come back next week for pretty Copenhagen pictures and more about the Jet2 event!
