If you’re in the North of England, and even if you aren’t, you may have heard of Boxed Brownies. If you haven’t, you need them in your life. I first had these delicious brownies at my friend Toni’s birthday party, and as the owners are friends of hers she took some mouthwatering product pictures for them which had me needing to order a box for myself. I’m a bit late with this post as I ordered my box in December before Christmas. Since Boxed Brownies is based in Sheffield, I wanted to order a box as part of my wanting to support small local business over the Christmas period. I totally wasn’t disappointed, and I’d like to say I was really giving and shared all my brownies, but Adam got just one. I let him have the milk chocolate one, he can’t say I never give him anything.
There was a slight problem in that my brownies got lost in the post when I ordered them! I’m convinced our postman just got hungry and I hope they went to a good home. The lovely owners at Boxed Brownies quickly got me out another box and they came a couple of days later. I ordered a selection box because I couldn’t decide which flavour I wanted to be honest. They change them quite often, so keep checking their site. They also occasionally run promotions, so follow them on Instagram! I loved that a menu was included telling you which brownie was which.
I’ll be honest, I couldn’t decide which brownie I wanted and ate a bit of three different ones in one sitting. It’s hard to pick a favourite, but the salted caramel cashew and rosemary amaretto were incredible and I was sad when they were gone. Not for long though, I just moved on to the other ones. They are the fudgiest (new word?) richest brownies I’ve ever had and no brownie I ever make again will come close to being as good. I’d like to say that I’ll accept that challenge, but I’m not the best brownie maker (or baker in general) so I’ll just bow out and order them by post.
These were Christmas flavours, but they still have some of them like the salted caramel cashew. They’ve got a passionfruit one and gin & juniper that I’d love to try, so I might have to order another box as a birthday treat. Calories don’t count on your birthday, right?
If you want to order your own box, visit Boxed Brownies website. You can order all one flavour, an assortment, and they have even started making gluten free brownies. You can get delicious brownies delivered to your door in the UK for £15 including delivery. Now that’s a good mail day.
