I tried to write this from my phone last night, but it just wasn’t cooperating. Seriously though, how amazing does that cake look? It was our friend Shaurn’s Birthday this weekend so I went to London and our friend Georgia really outdid herself with that cake. It’s an elderflower lemon sponge, with lemon mascarpone cream. I’m still dreaming about it.
Saturday we went to Found festival which was in Brockwell park in Brixton, so a nice fifteen minute walk away from Georgia’s flat. It was so much fun, and the weather was gorgeous. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves…
Glitter seemed like a good idea at the time, but three days later when it’s still in your ears it seemed less smart. 
These last three pictures are the only ones I took around London. Sad. Sunday afternoon before I caught my train I went to Bills to meet up with Emma and her husband and had the nicest duck leg I think I’ve ever eaten. It was fall off the bone and served with goats cheese croquettes, of which I probably could have eaten ten more. After I had a wander around Covent Garden for a bit then walked to King’s cross to catch my train. I never realised it’s only about a half an hour away, sometimes I forget how close the tube stops really are to each other.Another great weekend down, and another one to come! Busy busy busy this summer, and I’m loving it. I also started a new job, it’s only ten hours a week right now, but it’s so great to get out of the house to work. Working from home might work for some, but I needed to get out, if even for a little bit. Loving what I’m doing as well, helping run company’s social networks and creating content for them. Sometimes the perfect jobs really do exist!
