The cats have been up to their usual antics this week, nothing to report really except Jack has been on antibiotics. That’s fun trying to get a cat to take a pill. We’ve resorted to crushing it up and mixing it in with some soft food, but he knows. He’s not stupid. So we have to hold his food back until he eats it.
I’ve also discovered the nicest tasting yogurt to date, this coffee flavoured one from The Collective is something I could eat all day every day. I also got a passionfruit one which is equally amazing.
Saturday I went to Fakefest at a local park with some friends, and I was super impressed with the musical talent in this area. It’s a festival showcasing local bands, and they have tribute bands as well. It wasn’t the greatest day for it but luckily the music was in a big tent, and when you start drinking at noon you don’t notice the cold as much. Bev and I concocted our new favourite drink – vodka, diet lemonade and half an ice pop. We are nothing but resourceful when faced with no ice.
Sunday I was feeling surprisingly fresh after a whole day of drinking and dancing, and we spent most of the day with Adam’s sister and our nieces. We went to the park and I slid down the fastest slide I’ve ever been on, honestly, the heavier you are, the faster you go. Well let’s just say I’m heavier than the the average ten year old and I flew down that thing. I also had a hell of a time getting across the chain rope, being too tall and my hair getting stuck in the chains. Playgrounds are dangerous when you’re bigger.

We’ve also been printing out and planning our trip to Iceland, it’s getting real now that it’s on Sunday!! I can’t believe it. I’ve been researching things to do for months though and now my brain is all, nope, I don’t remember anything, find stuff again. So I’ve been combing through Kaelene’s blog and my stuff on pinterest to see what I’ve saved. Any recommendations mention them below!
