Well it’s been another full week/weekend and it ended by turning May. Jeez! It crept up fast and it’s just under two weeks before our week in Iceland. I can’t even believe it’s almost here. I’ve done lots of fun things to pass the time, like painting our bedroom a pretty lilac colour. Just kidding, that isn’t fun but I’m pretty pleased with the results. One more coat and I can move things back in there.A fun thing was getting the back of my neck pierced! I’ve actually wanted this piercing for quite a few years now and just never did it. Saturday morning I was with my friend Bev who wanted to pop in to get another ear piercing and they had time for me too so I just went for it. I really like it, and thankfully it’s not too sore. I thought I’d get a barbell, but the girl said dermals were a lot more durable and who doesn’t want gemstones embedded in them? Just me? Saturday night we had a sort of last minute superhero/villains party, and I went overboard as per usual in the costume department, but looked more like I was going to a rave with all the bright colours I put together. It was fun chatting to everyone though. Hungover Sunday meant one thing, tapas. We were pretty excited to find out they had the chocolate mousse so all three of us ordered it. Don’t fix what’s not broken and all that. Sunday was a gorgeous day so Adam and I decided to take the train to Sheffield and wander around a bit and go for brunch. Once we got there we found the continental food market on (seriously, we are so crap at just making notes when these things will be on so we can go to them) so grabbed some little pancakes and pastries for brunch instead. Later we met up with Fran and Helen, grabbed more food, and watched the snooker on a big screen in the square. The weather was insane, so obviously it decided to get cold and rainy today, typical.
Oh yeah, another exciting thing that happened (not) was that on our walk back to our house from town yesterday I got pegged in the back by a water balloon. Thrown from a moving vehicle. I had no idea what had happened at first. I felt something hard hit me in the back, and then I’m soaking wet. My first instinct was that someone threw something gross on me, and I was about to get pissed off when I realised it was just water, and none of my things got ruined. I then turned to being impressed that someone in a moving vehicle going about 30-40 miles per hour could aim that accurately. I then turned to being mad again because my back hurt and I was soaked through my jacket and jeans. I then turned to finding it funny because at least we were only five minutes away from our house. Mixed emotions, but still slightly impressed. Those jerks.
