I paced myself since I had plans the following day and didn’t want to be feeling like crap. I stuck to stouts for the day until the very end when I tried some Perry (pear cider) and was quite glad I didn’t have that all day as it was so tasty and went down way to easily!Saturday I met Sarah at the train station and Toni met us on the other side in Sheffield. Toni had made reservations at a brunch spot called Jameson’s, and after a quick look at the menu we all decided afternoon tea was the best option. Such good sandwiches, we had a chat about how the bread really makes or breaks a sandwich. When the waiter was listing off the cake options, I’m sure there was about twenty! I chose an elderflower and orange and Toni and Sarah went for lemon and gin. Lushes.
Afterwards we waddled down the street super full from afternoon tea for drinks, ping pong, and street fighter on an old arcade machine. I think I definitely worked some cake calories off chasing the ping pong ball all over the room. Lucky we were the only ones playing.
It was such a nice week weather wise, the sun was shining and it wasn’t freezing so Adam and I went for a walk after work one night to Clumber park. The sheep were out and I found this little toad hopping across the path. With the sun out I also managed to finally pot my plants in their new homes. I still haven’t planted the garden plants though, that’s next on my list.
