Truthfully, I want to shove my face full of chocolate after looking at two of my healthy lunches from last week above. I pointed out on my Instagram – Lettuce wraps are NOT tacos. Quite lying everyone and saying they are a healthy “substitute”. No. Just no. I’d rather just have a salad. Or better yet, a flipping taco.
We went shopping for birthday presents and naturally stopped by Paperchase where I found these glasses. After cracking up over them and Adam rolling his eyes, I carried them to the register. Ooops, not sorry.
Adam also wanted to stop by the Vans store for new trainers (oooo how British I’m becoming sneakers for all my Americans!) and we obviously headed straight for the sale rack in the back of the store. I instantly fell in love with these burgundy leather ones, and decided I had to have them. Adam so kindly got them for me when I went to pay for them (aw, what a nice guy, buy me shoes I’ll love you forever) and I love love love them. They take me back to high school when all I would wear were Vans. My first pair were white with a holographic purple V decorating the sides. The cats have been up to their usual antics this week. Jack took over my new blanket and I’ve had to hide it away from him because he’s snagged the crap out of it with his talons. Crash has gone to new lengths to find sleeping positions. Middle he is on top of a pile of bubble wrapped paintings, and far right he’s made himself a little den in the clothes and pillows that were on the couch in our bedroom. I couldn’t find him for like an hour. He is stealthy stealthy. Friday night we had a little date night just Adam and I to the Marketplace Alehouse for some ales and nibbles. I’m addicted to porters essentially, and drank two and a half pints of the same one. What can I saw, it was good. It was from Welbeck Abbey Brewery and is called Portland Black. I’m hoping they still have if Friday because I’m going back before comedy club night.
I think we can all agree on who the more attractive person in this relationship is based on the above pictures me obviously.
We went to Adam’s moms on Saturday to celebrate Daniella’s birthday, and little Matilda was happily wriggling around and making noised on her mat on the floor. We had a great dinner and Faith made a carrot banana cake that was soooo good I need to make it sometime.
Sunday was spent tidying the house (exciting times) and finally hanging my mirror and shelf up in our bedroom so I can have an organised little corner to get ready at. I’ve still got to find some more storage solutions and get another shelf, but it will do for now!
Did anyone else get up to anything fun at the weekend? My friend Sarah went to Harrogate which I love window shopping at, so go see the first part of what she got up to here.
