So I had a pretty eventful/uneventful weekend depending on how you look at it. With a refresher dye job (honestly you’d never know I wore gloves, purple everywhere) I headed to London to stay with my friend Lauren for the weekend and go to a travel bloggers afternoon tea on Sunday.Drinks were had as soon as I arrived Friday night, which led to more drinks being had and a whole Saturday on the sofa watching movies and a sushi and noodle feast. Sometimes the lazy days spent with a friend are the best and just what you need.
Sunday I had planned to go to afternoon tea as part of Kelly, Emma and Rebecca’s travel link up. Kelly did a great job of gathering everyone who participates in the link up and liaisoning with the hotel for a great afternoon. I’ll write more about it later, but I’ll just say I’d highly highly HIGHLY recommend Brown’s hotel for afternoon tea (or any meal really, their menu looked pretty tasty).
Normally I’d be on a come down from such a great weekend, but Wednesday is my birthday, and my birthday party is on Saturday, with friends coming from all over the place. So I’m super pumped and feel like it’s the best way to end January, which to everyone else is the worst month ever apparently. Not to mention I don’t think I’ve had a birthday party in a fair few years, and sometimes it’s nice to have a little celebration. Bring on the champagne!
