I’ve got all my Christmas shopping done! At least I think I do. Which means this weekend I can make and decorate Christmas cookies, which eating them is my favourite part of the lead up to Christmas. Not the decorating part though, that’s a pain in the butt. I get icing absolutely everywhere and always have grand amazingly decorated cookie visions that never become a reality. As long as they taste good that’s what matters is what I have to tell myself every year.

{Bathroom wall demo}

This past week Adam’s dad was kind enough to come over and help us demo the glass bricks that made up part of the bathroom wall. Why do people want see through walls? Well we didn’t, so it’s the first big house project we’ve really attempted other than stripping wallpaper. Those glass blocks are STURDY let me tell you. It was a lot harder to remove them than what we’d thought, and eventually ended in just smashing the crap out of them. I think that was Adam’s favourite part.
The second two pictures above are with the wall put in, and a thin coat of paint. We are putting shelves on the inside because our bathroom has no storage what so ever, so anything will be appreciated. I’d go ahead and do a DIY post with what we’ve done, but honestly I probably wouldn’t recommend any of it haha. Learn as you go and all that. So that’s what has been taking up all of my time! I think we will forever have a thin layer of dust on everything upstairs, because I cleaned things once, yet it settled again. Oh well.
Next up, decorating my office! I get the paint on Friday and I’m super excited.
