Tons of volunteers have come together to place each poppy into the ground starting a couple months ago. Sarah and her family volunteered to plant them and you can see her pictures and read about her experience here.

The installation is both sobering and beautiful at the same time. The poppies were for sale (but seem to be sold out now) with proceeds being spread amongst six charities. As Remembrance Day is the 11th of November, the poppies are set to be plucked on the 12th, so if you are wanting to witness these little flowers that form a big picture, then you better head to the Tower of London before then. For more information about the installation and the artists behind it, you can check out the Tower of London website.

Please link up your poppy posts if you’ve been below in the comments so others can peruse your photos and experience.
