I got an e-mail asking if I wanted to go watch Friends in Leeds and meet some Yorkshire bloggers. I of course jumped at the chance so grabbed my friend Fran and took the train to Leeds last Thursday.I have walked past the Everyman Cinema before, at the top of Trinity in Leeds, but had never actually gone in. It’s so very cool, like cooler than cool (ice cold! just me? ok). The decor is great, everywhere you look something a little different. There is a full bar serving up just about anything you’d like to drink, and next to it you can order pizza or garlic bread to have as a cinema snack. I watched/smelled some go past on their wooden holders and am pretty anxious to go back, sit in a sofa with a beer and pizza and watch a film. The room we were in was a private screening room that is rented out for functions. There was it’s own private bar, and assortment of couches and chairs to sit in. Watching movies in style is going to wreck all future cinema trips for me.
The event was organised by the lovely people at Simplyhealth as part of their #shhealthysmile campaign. They even have an article up about the science behind a smile, which makes a lot of sense, I know I’m happier when I’m smiling and having fun. I mean laughter really is contagious right? What’s better than surrounding yourself with your friends and laughing? I forgot how much I actually love Friends as well, I’m ready to invest in the box set I think since it’s not on t.v. as often as it used to be. It was also lovely chatting to a few bloggers and finally saying hi to Sophie in real life after chatting online. She’s just put some new lines in her shop too, so go check them out and support her!
Thanks so much Simplyhealth for inviting Fran and I along!
