Asking me to pick my favourite travel photo is like asking me to pick my favourite memory, and I’ve got too many amazing ones to choose from to narrow it down to just one.
I’m linking up with Emma, Kelly and Rebecca, so if you want to go check out some more travel photos, head to their blogs to click around everyones links. Coincidentally my picture is of their native New Zealand! Though I believe they all hail from the North Island.
I’ve been very fortunate and have been to some amazing places, most of them recapped on this blog so feel free to browse around and find what I think are some pretty cool pictures of some pretty cool places. The above photo is one of my personal favourites though. I propped my camera up on a ledge, and the timer snapped this picture of Adam and I in Queenstown, New Zealand.
Often times it’s not just the destinations you visit, but the people you visit them with. I was bitten by the travel bug before I even met Adam, but since we met we’ve been on whirlwind adventures to places I never even thought to go before.
Finding someone to travel with is golden. Whether it be a boyfriend, girlfriend, best friend, parent, sibling, or a random stranger who you met in a hostel or on a bus and you both decided to find adventures together. I understand that solo traveling can be rewarding, but for me, having someone to share in the experience and offer new perspectives on situations and places has changed the way I view a lot of the destinations we go to and life in general (cheesy I know, but true).
I’m thankful every day for the experiences I’ve had, the people I’ve met along the way, and the way traveling has shaped me as a person.
