When we got there, it turned out most of Yorkshire had the same idea as we did, the places was packed! Adam got his fill of my squeals of “ohmygosh look at that puppppyyy!” and we had a little wander around the other side of the lake that we’ve never really ventured to. This little bird kept flying away from me, and just as I was about to put my lens cap back on he perched himself on the branch right near my face and posed for a few snaps. How considerate. I panicked at one point these swans were going to snap that little boys fingers off, as he kept getting closer and closer, and they were brazen little birds and tried sticking their beaks right into his sack of bread. Chaise lounge in the tree, as you do. We also found a lonely sleigh, so I of course had to get in it. I can’t resist a photo op. I look like I have super short hair because my ponytails blends in with my furry hood. Then the sleigh started taking off and I almost fell out! Not really, overactive imagination.
Sunday Adam and I got a little stir crazy from all the inside time we’ve had lately and headed to Clumber park for a few hours in the sun. If it wasn’t so cold most of these pictures could be confused as a nice summers day. Don’t be fooled, wellies and a winter coat were very necessary. I was kicking myself for forgetting my gloves as well.
Have you been to Clumber park? It’s a great place to go in the summer for picnics and friend time, but also nice in the winter if you feel like walking.
I’m linking up with Jessica and Amy for photography Friday this week, and hope to continue posting some random snaps on Fridays this year. Go check out some of their pictures.
Do you head to parks even when it’s cold?
