I’ve decided to feature a few talented women today, and urge you to buy some handmade presents this year for Christmas or birthdays. People who are passionate about what they do shines through their work, so take a peek at some creatives who I’ve found through their blogs. Just click on the links below the screen shots to have a browse.
Sophie at Onetenzeroseven is Yorkshire based (like me now!) and I first started reading her blog earlier in the year, and have since learned she makes really cute jewelery. I will definitely be hitting her up for some earrings I think, I especially love the teacups with the cut out hearts.
I actually came across Jane’s blog when she left a comment on one of my posts, and am so glad I did! I’m thinking of ordering a couple prints for Adam’s new niece’s room, as they are whimsical and colourful. She also will work with you if you want something drawing in particular. The print of the couple on the bike will be mine.
Ella is the master at drawing bearded tattoo men, and tattoos in general! If I wanted one, I’d get her to sketch something for me, but I’m a baby. She sells her illustrations in just about any form, t-shirts, phone cases, tote bags and even turns them into jewellery.
I found Sophie’s blog first The Private life of a girl, and found her shop through there. Not only is she a talented photographer (her blog as some seriously dreamy pictures) but her jewellery is beautiful. I love the minimalist simple designs, clean lines, and her attention to detail. Her stock changes, so check back often for some great new things.
Rachel’s blog Pointless Pretty Things was also one of the first blogs I came across. I don’t know if you’ve noticed (shame on you if you haven’t) but she sit’s in my sidebar because her blog is full of creative inspirations and just a generally happy place to go. She has just recently opened up her Etsy shop and includes some things she’s been working on. She offers design services for theatre, weddings and parties (you can check out her page here).
I do hope you will give these designers some love. I’m waiting till payday to place a couple orders 🙂
