I have been a bit lacking in lifestyle updates because I’ve wanted to share all my travel experiences lately. I did a little bit of shopping while I was in America, but not much as I really just didn’t feel like it to be quite honest. I’ve picked up some good bits though which I will share later, but today I wanted to talk about my new favourite products, and both from Origins!
I didn’t buy these in America, I bought them last Saturday on our way back from a day out. I wanted to pick up a couple bits from Debenhams (a build your own Urban Decay Quad with a shadow already in and my beloved Dior addict lip glow as it had run out (Ode here)) and when I saw they were giving 500 extra points if you spent 40 pound, I knew I was doomed. That pretty much means a fiver off, because it gives you five pounds towards a future purchase. My Urban decay quad and lip balm came to just under this, so I had a peruse at the Origins counter to have a sniff of the GinZing moisturizer. I didn’t buy this lightly. I’ve been eyeing it for a while after reading quite a few raves about it, and after speaking to the sales girl and sussing out the tinted one wasn’t for me, I was willing to part with my pounds. Happy days it also came with a gift with purchase of a few samples, including GinZing refreshing eye cream, Dr. Weil Mega-Bright skin illuminating cleanser, and Dr. Weil Mega-Bright skin tone correcting serum. None of which I probably would have bought of my own accord, but I am here to tell you the stand out is the Skin tone correcting serum!
I’ve been using these two products through the week, and while my skin does seem a bit brighter and I’m in love with the moisturizer, I am in awe of the serum. I had a patch of scarring from spots at the top of my nose between my eyebrows that I’ve had to cover up with concealer for ages now. After just a week of using this serum it is hardly noticeable. I wish I could show you a before and after as I’m absolutely amazed at the results, but a) that wouldn’t be pretty, and b) I didn’t actually expect much to happen. I can’t recommend this enough if you have any redness you’d like to try clearing up, or any spot scarring. Also, get yourself to a counter and give this moisturizer a sniff, you won’t be disappointed.
What other Origins products should I try? I’m officially on the bandwagon.
**Edit** After trying to make this moisturiser work for a month, because it is incredible, my sensitive skin just couldn’t get along with it. Keep that in mind if that might be you.
