After our river walk we found a small little park with greenhouses holding ponds and exotic flowers and cactus. “Adam put your head next to the lily pads to show how big they are.” Standard. That’s the end of our Switzerland trip, although I wish we had stayed longer, and it was a beautiful, I wasn’t quite prepared at how expensive things would be! If you are thinking of going on a trip to Switzerland, make sure you plan a few things that you’d like to do and check to see if there are discounted rates for booking ahead of time including travel expenses like train tickets. There’s not much you can do to save on food, places for dinner are going to be pretty pricey, but you can always find cheaper alternatives like going shopping and having a picnic. I can’t wait to go back to Switzerland and explore some more cities as I had the nicest few days here, Geneva is next on the list!
On our last day we decided to head in the other direction of the bear pits to parts of Berne we hadn’t explored yet. We came across a pretty house that turned out to be a museum, but since it was so nice out we decided to forgo inside activities and walk along the river some more.
