1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup milk of choice (I use skim)
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon (or more to to taste)
1tblsp brown sugar (if desired, I do)
2 tblsp chopped walnuts
1 mashed up ripe banana
:: Method ::
Mix all ingredients except for the banana in a microwaveable bowl or sauce pan (however you cook your oatmeal).
Once this is done, if you’re like me, wack the bowl in the microwave for two minutes. (If you prefer the stovetop-then cook it how you normally do.)
I love adapting my favourite foods into oatmeals for breakfast. It starts me off on a good note!
