My original plan was to re-stain the leather and redo the gold detailing, but I am starting to love all the nicks and scratches that cover the leather. It even has a small drawer to store extras in the front, which is deep and goes all the way to the back.I keep all of my everyday makeup that I use out on the table, and the rest of my bits and bobs in the pink striped bag in the right corner. I love re-using tins and boxes, so a Hotel Chocolate tin is now my makeup brush holder. I use Real-Teqnique brushes after reading reviews online, and I can’t believe I was using my fingers for so long! It was my birthday last week, and my boyfriends sister got me this super cute earring tree. As you can see from having already filled it up (and a bunch of studs in the bottom dish) I was in desperate need! I still have a bunch in my jewellery box as well, but it was fun finding earrings I forgot I had and haven’t worn in a while. This is only a few bottles of perfume. The past few years I’ve become a perfume junkie. One of those “I can collect things we are staying here!” things I think. Pictured below are ‘J’Adore’-Dior, ‘Lola’-Marc Jacobs, a perfume from Next I got for my birthday, and ‘No. 4711’ a perfume from Cologne, Germany that is apparently the original Eau De Cologne. It has a really fresh scent. I also have a giant bottle of Dolce and Gabana ‘Rose the One’ that I keep downstairs and use to refill my travel perfume bullet. My nana got me this sweet porcelain jewellery/music box when I was younger, and I still keep it where I can see it. It houses my bobby pins. I think the moral of this story is, don’t be afraid to look at furniture as something else! I couldn’t be happier with my new dressing table, it may be small to some people, but works for me.
Now I’m just on the lookout for the perfect chair/stool…here goes another two year search!
