I’ve never tried their face masks because I thought the fact they were in such little containers meant they wouldn’t last very long, and at almost £6 a pop I wasn’t sold. Let me tell you, a little goes a long way with these! I think I’ll get at least 6 masks out of this (depending on how thick I slather it on).
For those who know me, I’m a big LUSH lover. When I lived in New Zealand my English housemate Georgia used to rave about Lush and all I could think was, “it’s just a soap store right?” No! It’s amazing! Fresh ingredients grace all of the labels and the scents are incredible. I’m obsessed with Happy Hippy shower gel (which can also be used as a shampoo, face-wash, everything wash) and the shower bombs that release the most wonderful scents when the shower spray hits them. What a perfect wake up in the morning!Onto Catastrophe Cosmetic…
The first one I’ve purchased is the Catastophe Cosmetic fresh face mask because, well, it smells delicious and has blueberries in it. Also, the sales girl said it might help with the redness problem I was having. I’ve used this twice now, and after each use, the redness in my skin has decreased loads. It also helped with a few pesky spots that were on my face.
The consistency is amazing and glides on your face easily. It tingles slightly which I always see as a good thing because then I feel like it’s working. 10-15 minutes later I wash it off my face and again, super easy to get off (unlike some masks you need to scrub) you can just wipe it off with warm water and your hands if you want it’s that simple.
All in all, I love it to bits, and I want to try a seaweed one next. Bonus-if you bring back five pots you get one free. I love getting something for free I would have purchased anyway, it makes the deal that much sweeter.
Is it possible to take a picture of you looking good in a facemask? I think not…but I have no shame. See those flecks of blueberry? I love that there are actual smushed blueberries in there and not just extracts and such. Also, make sure you keep these babies in the fridge, all that freshness needs to stay cold to, well, stay fresh!
